Who teaches
Dr. DJ Yoo is our master teacher. Dr. Yoo has more than 20years of experience in teaching Korean to foreigners at U.S. embassy in Seoul Korea, U.S, Marine Corps in seoul, Korea, Yunsei University Korean Institute, ete. Dr. Yoo spent his life developing this DIA Korean course to let you learn Korean language easily.
DIA Korean course was developed by Dr. DJ Yoo, President of DIA University and an well respected Korean language expert.
Curriculum
DJ Korean courses have 5 Course: BeginningⅠⅡ, IntermediateⅠⅡ and Advanced.
Tuition-$600 per level including workbooks
(1) BeginningⅠ= 2month term of 8weekly 80-minute classes
(2) Beginning Ⅱ=2month term of 8weekly 80-minute classes
The student is able to satisfy routine social demands and limited work requirements at an elementary level but with confidence. Ranging from self-introduction to family, work situations and social matters of general concern, the student can get the gist of most conversations with native speakers with appropriate accent and
intonation patterns.
The student is able to compose simple sentences freely and accurately to convey his thoughts in writing by using words available within the vocabulary of his own. He can write non-technical communications such as thank you letters and invitations or the like and fill out general application forms without the help of others in a proper understanding on most promotion materials around.
(3) IntermediateⅠ= 2month term of 8weekly 80-minute classes
(4) Intermediate Ⅱ= 2month term of 8weekly 80-minute classes
The student is able to speak the language with structural accuracy using the vocabulary sufficient to participate in most formal and informal situations on general issues ranging from family, job, and ongoing current events. The student can relaxedly discuss with particular interests on special fields of competence with reasonable ease.
His/her comprehension is quite complete for a normal rate of speech with a vocabulary broad enough not to grope for a word during conversations. With confidence in grammar, he/she can actively participate in occasional and somewhat technical conversations with native speakers in proper accent and pronunciation.
(5) Advanced= 2month term of 8weekly 80-minute clases
The student is able to use the language fluently and accurately to discuss pertinent subjects at a professional level. The student can understand and participate in any conversations within the range of his/her experience with a higher degree of fluency and precision of vocabulary. Yet not to be taken for a native speaker, the student can respond appropriately to even unfamiliar situation with quite rare chances of making errors in grammar, accent and pronunciatio
